Parent Feedback
"Stonehill is a true International school in Bangalore with expat teachers coming from every corner of the world. They know how to handle children from many backgrounds and cultures and school has become a pleasure for all my little ones. The administration is organised and communication flows clearly in both directions. People in Stonehill are open minded and flexible, which is a breath of fresh air."

Our son (P3, last year of kindergarten) has settled very quickly and extremely well at Sonehill International School. After 2 weeks, he turned our house into a Stonehill Annex; his bedroom is the Stonehill Office, Mum and Dad’s the P3 classroom, the guest bedroom is the computer room, the office is the meeting room, and the kitchen is of course Stonehill’s cafeteria… He does not like Sundays anymore for he says that one day off is enough and he misses the school on Sundays. As parents, we were firstly impressed to find highly knowledgeable people to talk to at the time we were looking for the best school for our son. The atmosphere of the school is great; there is a beautiful harmony between administration, the faculty and students; a lot of mutual respect and care too. This is the very best school we have found and we can really feel that the students are the core of the entity. Stonehill also offers a truly well rounded education with highly qualified teachers in various fields, and a great coordination between them. We all love the school and advise all parents who are truly concerned by the future of their children to join now!

“We have been so impressed by every aspect of life at Stonehill, from the curriculum and obvious care of the teachers to the wonderful environment and facilities that Stonehill provides for our children. From day one, our son has loved school and bounces out of bed to catch the bus in the morning ... Initially we thought it was a honeymoon period, but he is STILL ready and eager to catch the bus early each day. Personally, I have seen many positive changes in him. Thank you all for your care and support of our children."

Dear Helen
We are writing predominantly to thank you and all your staff for the warm and welcoming way in which you have helped our children settle in to their new school. Coming from Australia to a completely foreign country and culture, we were quite concerned that the transition would be extremely difficult for them. Not only have the children established themselves beautifully, but they all love their new school and have already made some very solid friendships.
Our first concern when we came to India was that the children would be happy. Whilst their academic progress is important to us, it was certainly not our priority. That being said, the academic progress that all of our children have made in the short time they have been at Stonehill is nothing short of extraordinary.
When our youngest son started at Stonehill in P2, he could only recognise a few words. He is now copying complete sentences. This progress has taken place in less than eight weeks.
Our oldest son had just completed Year 6 in Australia and for the previous two years we had spent a lot of time motivating him to do his homework and tutoring him to ensure that he maintained an average grade. We were quite concerned when he started at Stonehill because he has advanced six months and started half way through what we would call Year 7. Not only is he keeping up with his peers at Stonehill, but the change in his attitude is miraculous! We never thought we would see the day when he would leap out of bed in the morning eager to go to school. As soon as he arrives home he goes straight into his study to do his homework. Thank you!!!
For us, the most extraordinary progress has been made with our middle son. Having major medical issues and being profoundly deaf, he has always struggled, both academically and socially. Reading and writing is an extremely difficult task for deaf children to master. Apart from being deaf, he was diagnosed as having major learning difficulties that were associated with his medical issues. In Australia, he had a full time integration aide at school, speech therapy three times a week plus hours and hours of assistance from us at home. With all this help, he was reading, but was at the lower end of average in Year 2. He had only just started writing independently, but was very slow and his limit was about two sentences at any one time. We were extremely nervous when we came to India that the transition for him would be far too difficult. This was to be the first time that he would be at school without a full time assistant. We came fully prepared to home school him, thinking this would be our only option.
When we found Stonehill we were so impressed – not only by the warm and caring attitude of the staff, but by the eagerness of everyone at Stonehill to do everything in their power to help him. Helen, I am not sure whether you and your staff can fully appreciate the progress that he has made in the two months that he has been at Stonehill, but what we are seeing has moved me to tears. About 5 weeks after he started he had to write a book report. I asked him if he needed some help, and he said “no Mummy, I can do this myself”. I had never seen such confidence in him which alone was fantastic. Confidence aside, he sat down and wrote a two page book report that was grammatically perfect and without any spelling mistakes. I was overwhelmed! Shortly thereafter he wanted me to read him a Magic Tree House book. I read him half of the book and then told him I would finish it the next day. Within the hour he came back and told me he had finished reading the book. I was, of course, sceptical so I questioned him on the story line and made him read me a chapter - sure enough, he had finished it.
Three years ago we were considering sending him to a special school but opted for main stream with a lot of assistance. To see him working independently and progressing so rapidly, both academically and socially is truly a miracle for us! You have not only given him the confidence to achieve, but the tools and devotion to assist him to achieve those goals. We are totally confident now that when we eventually move back to Australia he will not only cope main stream but will achieve whatever goals he sets himself in life.
For all of our children, but especially our middle child, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone at Stonehill for helping our children achieve so much academically, socially and culturally.
Kind regards,
Mr. and Mrs. W.
My daughter in P3 says ‘the teachers are all really nice, and we do great stuff like natural and manmade materials', my son in P2 says ‘I love playing with all the toys and riding on the bikes’ and ‘Andrea makes the yummiest lasagna!’

We searched for nearly a year and attended several schools before (we believe) we got it right. Stonehill is the only school in Bangalore with a true international staff and an IB program from elementary - High School.
I recommend you contact Amita Patel and she will explain the host of reasons why our family and others are convinced Stonehill is the best school choice - especially for those not especially interested in IGCSE and other similar programs.
